help with odd skin and pimples (treatments make it worse)?
Posted by: | Commentsi have a rather annoying problem…i dont have really bad acne or anything, just a few spots on chin and forehead. but theyre often big red and painful. and no matter what i put on them, it seems to make it worse rather then better. for example, i got benzyl peroxide cream and use it on pimples. but if i get even a little on skin that doesnt already have a pimple, one pops up. same with other acne creams, or herbal remedies…its really annoying, cause i cant use face washes or anything to actually PREVENT them. can only spot reduce when theyre all big and already ick. im wondering if anyone can recommend what to do? or why this happens? any help would be oh so appreciated!

Posted by: | CommentsThe whiteheads are easy to handle, but what do to about the pimples that are under your skin? I get them sometimes and they take forever to go away. Putting acne treatment on them seems pointless since the medication is sitting on top of this ‘bump’. I know popping them is a bad idea, and with these, there’s really nothing to “pop” because it doesnt appear to have a visible pore. ( I have proactiv and use it regularly.)

Does anyone else have experience with extremely dry, acne prone skin?
Posted by: | CommentsI was on proactive, but it made my skin EXTREMELY DRY. So I stopped using the first step (cleanser) and started washing my face with Neutrogina oil free acne wash because I figured it would be easier on my skin. Now, since I stopped using the proactive cleanser, I get minor breakouts here and there, so I use Clearasil Ultra 10% benzol peroxide as a spot treatment. My face, especially this morning, is extremely flaky and dry. I just bought Clean and Clear Soft Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15 to use at the end of my extreme acne treatment, but that doesn’t seem to help much and I end up putting pounds of moisturizers on top.
Does anyone have any suggestions of an acne medication that doesn’t make your skin dry like proactive? I’m afraid that if I stop using it and if I just stick to my Neutrogina wash and a cleanser, I’ll break out again.

I went to a spa to get my eyebrows waxed. As soon as she pulled the first strip off, it hurt more than usual but she kept on doing it so i thought nothing of it.
