What are the effects of TURMERIC ON ACNE and ACNE SCARS?
Posted by: | CommentsMy dad is a believer in herbal treatments as opposed to using new age products and after seeing me struggle with acne for a while (im 20, my acne started in about the 8th grade) and not seeing any results with different products (over the counter stuff, proactive, antibiotics, etc) he decided to make a paste for me.
The main ingredient is turmeric. It also has orange peel and some other stuff and he said that it will show a huge improvement in a little over a week in the acne as well as the scars.
So, i was wondering has anyone else tried turmeric for acne and acne scars? what were the results? also any input would be helpful even if you havent used it but know a thing or two about the ingredient.

i know my dad made it because he cares for me and that he wouldnt delibrately make something that would harm me….i just wanna know if its worth the effort for him to make it, because if it doesnt work i dont want him to waste his time and energy making the paste for me and i dont wanna waste my time and be disappointed in the end.

Posted by: | CommentsI have been battling acne on and off since I was 17 and used a few products (retin-A and otc) and I use proactiv now and it works great. I also combine monthly chemical peels to keep my face clear.
Okay, my acne is gone but my face has some scarring. Its not too bad (just a little red or brown here and there) but sometimes I wish I could go out without make up a little confident. Ihear microdermabrasions were good but the lady who does my chemical peels said it just clears away the top layer of skin and not removing scarring. But isnt that what a scar is? Any advice? Please and Thank you

wash face everyday with Zenmed acne cleanser & scar healer,
After washing apply Bio oil scar treatment oil – a thin layer all over face,
Once it has all absorbed, then use Mederma scar gel on specific areas where there are scars…
with this i will also jog 15mins a day – morning, il also drink RDA of water including Bio synergy beauty from within water which contains green tea.. selenium, vit A,E,C etc (basicaly vitamin water).
I will also take in 1 vitamin supplement tablet each day and also 3 AcnEase herbal treatment tabs each day with a healthy diet…
im going to keep constant watch each day and continue this routine…
Some products i have mentioned.. u may not of heard of but anyways… what do u think about this plan… does it seeem like a good idea… to totaly get rid of all scars on my face… i am determined to do… thanks guys and gals. xx

Can lemon juice heal scars?

How about Lemon Juice? Can it heal scars which are more than 10 years old?

Has anyone had laser treatment for acne scars?
Posted by: | CommentsI currently have very smooth, spot-free skin, but left over scars from previous spots. It is really depressing. Looking at websites, they are definitely not the worst scars in the world – very small, about 5 on each cheek, but dark red / purple.
I have tried all sorts of creams from the doctor, and have tried herbal treatments and everything.
Any advice on other treatments or where to go for laser treatment? Also how much?
